Privacy Policy

1. Overview & Commitment

At GeoNow GPS ("we", "us", or "our"), we prioritize your privacy and the security of your vehicle data. This Privacy Policy outlines how our iOS and Android mobile applications and web services collect, process, utilize, and protect your information in full compliance with Apple App Store Guidelines, GDPR, and global data privacy standards.

2. Information We Collect & Handle

To deliver real-time fleet tracking and telematics services, GeoNow GPS handles data with strict privacy safeguards:

  • User Smartphone Location (Ephemeral Only — Never Stored): When granted, we access your mobile device's location strictly while the app is open ("When In Use") solely to display your position on the map and calculate on-demand routing to a selected vehicle via OSRM (Open Source Routing Machine). We do not track your phone in the background, nor do we store, log, or record your smartphone's location data on our servers.
  • Vehicle & Fleet Telemetry: Position, speed, ignition, and OBD-II diagnostics sent by your physical GPS tracking hardware to your configured GPS server (e.g. Traccar).
  • Account Information: Your login credentials (username/email and password) used to connect securely to your tracking server.
  • Technical Diagnostics: Anonymized crash logs and device model identifiers to ensure app stability.

3. Device Permissions & How They Are Used

  • Location Permission (When In Use): Used exclusively in real time to show your phone's location on the map and calculate routing directions to your vehicles via OSRM. Your phone's location is processed in-memory and is never saved to a database.
  • Camera Permission (AR Vehicle Finder): The camera feed is processed locally in real time entirely on-device to project augmented reality direction pins toward parked vehicles. Frames and video are never recorded, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere.
  • Face ID / Touch ID (Biometrics): Used strictly for local device authentication to unlock the app securely via Apple's Secure Enclave. Biometric data is never accessible to us or any remote server.
  • Push Notifications: Used to dispatch critical vehicle alerts (over-speeding, vibration/towing, power cutoff, geofence breaches).

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or vehicle telemetry to advertisers or data brokers. Data is only communicated between your mobile device and your designated GPS server endpoint (such as your private Traccar server).

5. Data Security & Storage

All network communications utilize industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3/HTTPS and WSS WebSocket protocols). Sensitive credentials stored on your device are encrypted using Apple Keychain and Android KeyStore secure hardware storage.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have full rights under applicable data protection laws to access, export, or request immediate deletion of your account and vehicle historical logs. To request account deletion or data purge, contact us at elmaallemdiv@gmail.com.
